Travellers to finally benefit from showing airport shops their boarding pass


Last year airport retailers were found to be claiming VAT refunds on behalf of their customers without passing those savings onto consumers.

Now one of the UK’s biggest chains, WHSmith, has vowed to return some of that tax to eligible passengers – but only on items costing £6 or more.
